THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

The Boys are Back in Town

Guess who just got back today
Them wild eyed boys, that'd been away
Haven't changed, that much to say
But man I still think them cats are crazy

They were asking if you were around
How you was, where you could be found
Told them you were living downtown
Driving all the old men crazy

The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
(I Said) The boys are back in town
The boys are back in town
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)

You know that chick who used to dance a lot?
Every night she'd be on the floor, shakin' what she's got
Man when I tell you she was cool, she was redhot
I mean she was steamin'

And that time over at Johnny's place
When this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face
Man we just fell about the place
If that chick don't wanna know forget 'er

The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
(I said) The boys are back in town
The boys are back in town
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)

Spread the word around
Guess who's back in town

Just spread the word around

Friday night they'll be dressed to kill
Down at Dino's bar and grill
The drinks will flow and blood would spill
And if the boys wanna fight you better let 'em

That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song
The nights are getting warmer it won't be long
Won't be long till the summer comes
Now that the boys are here again

The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
(Spread the word around)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
(The boys are back, the boys are back)

The boys are back in town again
They're hanging out at Dino's
The boys are back in town again

Last night your Bachrach BallBusters Avenged the tough loss of 3 weeks ago and won there third straight game over Doris Dukes Charitable Org by a score of 17 to 12. The Boys were indeed back in town, a re-vamped lineup featuring Scott "The Babe" Book in the leadoff slot rejuvenated his bat and the BallBusters as a whole. Allan "The Ageless Wonder" Ageman made a triumphant return to the mound and other then one poor inning defensively the defense was stellar. The biggest surprise however came into he form of the BallBusters new right fielder Laurence "The Imposter" Wilson, not to be confused with minor league Ball Player "Laurence"I struck out twice" Wilson. In his debut the imposter did his name proud going 4-4 including a 3 run home run and a two run triple. They were not the only contributors however as Oliver MAYS, Alex"Lets get a drink after the game" Roth, Nick "The Franchise" Catalano, Jimmy "The Kid" Sammarco (despite his three throwing errors) and Evan "The Truth" Price all had big games offensively. It was indeed a full team effort and the playoff hopes of these BallBusters are alive and well with two games left to play. Falling just short of controlling there own destiny, there is a real high probability that with victories in there last two games, the BallBusters will indeed be playoff bound for the third straight season. So come out Monday as your BallBusters play a do or die game against those pesky fighting gators at the House that Bachrach built, Randall's Island, and if you can't be an athlete be an athletic supporter.
Notes and Quotes:
Asked about the last minute roster shuffling manager McGlincy offered no comment. Tara "T-Money" Horowitz returned to third base last night without incident, and the team seemed comfortable and more at ease with there defensive alignment. Asked if the language barrier had anything to do with another rocky defensive start in the outfield both Scott "The Babe" Book and Oliver MAYS said "no".

Slip Sliding Away

Please excuse the different sizes and fonts, be honest, the team sucks, do you really care
BallBusters Playoff Hopes Slip Away After Pathetic Effort Against Doris Dukes

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Whoah and I know a man, he came from my hometown
He wore his passion for his woman like a thorny crown
He said dolores, I live in fear
My love for yous so overpowering, Im afraid that I will disappear

Chorus

I know a woman, (who) became a wife
These are the very words she uses to describe her life
She said a good day aint got no rain
She said a bad day is when I lie in the bed
And I think of things that might have been

Chorus

And I know a father who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons for the things hed done
He came a long way just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and he headed home again

Chorus

Whoah God only knows, God makes his plan
The informations unavailable to the mortal man
Were workin our jobs, collect our pay
Believe were gliding down the highway, when in fact were slip sliding away

Slip Sliding Away
BallBusters Playoff Hopes Slip Away After Pathetic Effort Against Doris Dukes
In the immortal words of Arista recording artist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Paul Simon, the BallBusters season is indeed Slip Sliding away. Last night your Bachrach BallBusters were murdered by Doris Dukes charitable foundation by a score of 14-4. It was terrible, murderous and pathetic and an absolute disgrace, the effort was zero. After the game one of the culprits for the horrible display, Nick "The Franchise" Catalano had this to say, "When the median age of a team is 55 and the pitcher is a 75 yr old women, you have to score runs. This is pathetic, there is no emotion on this team, the fans aren't coming out and we need some energy quick." When asked if it was an issue with the manager he said this, "This is not McGlincy's fault, she went to the playoffs two years in a row, its our fault, I don't know maybe we all got old."
The Franchise was not lying, the effort was indeed abysmal. Manager McGlincy was unavailable for comment after the game, as was much of this team of high priced  and underperforming veterans, when I finally cornered Scott "The Babe" Book in the locker room he had this to say “We’ve been thru a lot this year, we lost start players to pregnancy and free agency. This has been a cold summer for the ballbusters. We have no choice but to keep moving forward and hope that the Boss sponsors us one more time.”
Whether or not this is the true BallBuster's swan song remains to be seen. Come out and support the BallBusters next Thursday as they take on BNP Paribas, a team actually worst then them, maybe there'll be a party, oh screw it, the BB's suck, stay home and work late...
Notes and Quotes:
Trying to cheer things up after the game Alex"lets get a drink after the game" Roth was seen telling her teammates how they all hit a good ball. The instability on the field continued as Manager McGlincy was pulled off the mound after only two batters, and some new girl made her debut, people referred to her as Gundle.
